Core77 has started their first ever Design Awards! We’re really pumped about this since they’ve taken a fresh new take on the usual award set-up. They’ve included usually-not-acknowledged categories in Service Design, Design for Social Impact, DIY, and “Never Saw the Light of Day” (for products completed, and then sadly killed). To make the Design Awards even more personal, we’re allowed to create a web-cam video explaining or showing the process and design behind our products.
Best of all, they haven’t lumped students into their own big category but have invited us to compete with professionals in all the award categories! It’s one of the first design award systems I’ve seen take student work very seriously :)
More information and registration at Core77 Design Awards. Early-bird registration ends today March 31st so sign-up fast! The official dead-line is May 3rd.
